NEGATIVES
A large percentage of a quality photographers work comes from
other people seeing the results of what they do. Consequently
we want and need our images to look the very best that they
can.
We take great pride in our finished product and to attain this
standard consistently it is essential that our prints are reproduced
by top quality printers in professional labs.
A photograph can be printed from a negative in many ways and
there are a number of printing techniques that only a photographer
knows how to achieve, techniques that are not available at a
one hour lab or the local chemist.
By law the negatives belong to the photographer like lyrics
and music belong to a songwriter or patents belong to an inventor.
Negative storage also requires certain precise procedures and
conditions if they are to survive the ravages of time and temperature.
A photographer who is so readily willing to give up this level
of quality control is not only showing little regard for their
own work but not exercising the kind of responsibility that
an event as important as your special day warrants.
