TIME
HOW LONG DO I SET ASIDE FOR PHOTOGRAPHS
This is commonly one of the most frequent miscalculations
that prospective newly weds make when organizing their wedding
arrangements before talking to a professional photographer.
Photography, after all, is all about light. There is little
point, for example, in an excursion to the beach and all that
it entails if you are not going to arrive in time to include
the surroundings in your pictures.
The amount of time you need for your photographs will depend
on a number of factors. You will need time to be congratulated
and do your family and friends photo's immediately after the
service. The size of your bridal party, the locations you
have chosen and travelling between them will also need to
be taken into account. After your obligation free consultation
with Fotoforce we will be able to suggest an optimum time
for your service, and one that will suit your personal choices.
WHEN DO I BOOK
It is advisable to start looking for your photographer immediately
you have set a date for the ceremony. Your photographer is
only capable of shooting one wedding on any given day and
it is not unusual for the good photographers to have the most
popular dates booked out 12 to 18 months ahead. This is particularly
the case in the busiest months of September to November and
March to May.
WHEN DO I PAY
Most reputable Studio's will require a booking deposit of
between $200 - $400 to secure your date. This is generally
a non refundable deposit that reserves the date especially
for you. At some studio's this is over and above the cost
of your photography package. At FOTOFORCE it is deducted from
the overall cost of your chosen package. The balance of the
payment for your package or coverage is generally due on or
before the wedding date. Remember the photographer is turning
away other weddings to be available exclusively to you and
pre payment not only insures that your photographs will be
available on your return from honeymoon but also acts as insurance
for the photographer.
